Hey!

I'm so glad you're here! I'm Laura, and this is a little bit about me...

5 years ago my life changed forever. I became a mum, and despite being very active prior to children, I suddenly found myself in a body I no longer recognised as my own; a mind that constantly felt anxious and overwhelmed; and very little time (welcome to motherhood!)  or knowledge of knowing what to do about strengthening my body or healing my tummy gap- Diastasis what? (where was this in the antenatal sessions!?).

 

Throw in a pandemic and I found myself a little lost and feeling frustrated in my own body. I turned my focus to exercise and something just CLICKED. No, it wasn't my back...

 

I felt called to become a personal trainer and help woman navigate life through the power of exercise!

Teaching is my thing; it's where I come alive and all I've ever really known. I've been a PE teacher for the last 14 years but I realised my passion was teaching and helping WOMEN. To heal their postpartum bodies; to feel strong enough to cope with the demands of motherhood, perimenopause and menopause; and to create an empowered community of women who show up for themselves time and time again.

 

As well as navigating my own journey after having 2 babies, I've had the pleasure of working with so many wonderful clients and love helping them on their own wellness journey.

My Story

​In 2012 I was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis- an autoimmune condition that manifests in fatigue and weakness. I have been on medication ever since and as frustrating as it can be sometimes; I feel like one of the lucky ones!

 

I have faced many set backs/ confidence knocks when it comes to getting back in to exercise and building and rebuilding my strength back up so I can honestly say I truly empathise with the journey that may be less than straight forward.​​​​
